Subin Kim is a designer and artist based in Berlin. She works primarily with textiles and paper, using painting as a core medium. Her practice began with hand-painted, upcycled silk garments, and has since expanded to include paintings and objects. Her approach centers on sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality.
Her work often carries a quiet sense of nostalgia. At times, it reflects on themes such as neuroscience and the lived experiences of women. Through considered use of materials and techniques, she creates pieces that invite warmth and contemplation—both in physical space and in daily wear.
Since 2017, she has taken part in a range of projects and collaborations.
